Elly/Nita,
My guess is both your hubby are bony... I still have not found an SSC that is suited to my bony structure... one way or another, the buckles etc. gets to my bones :(

Hi Rozy and Rizua,
welcome to MBW forum.
Rozy, we have a library in the MBW (Penang). Do come and join us at our monthly gatherings and check things out ;) In the SSC range, we have the Littlepods, a Scootababy (though better known as a hip carrier) and my Beco (upon request). email us at malaysianbabywearers-at-gmail-dot-com to find out more on the library/gatherings.

Hi Inde,
welcome to the forum :) Do browse through and ask questions ;)
While I'd usually recommend pouch/ring slings for newbies, some prefer others. So, it's really a personal preference. Try out what grabs you the most as you look through them, is what I'd say. That usually works ;)

Hi ninarif,
Glad you are into wrapping
Flannel is indeed a very comfy kind of fabric for its soft and cushiony feel. However, please be wary that you will need to keep checking on any wear and tear on flannel fabric on a frequent basis as the weave for flannel is usually not very strong... which is the reason why it is so soft, I guess. Generally, the more you wash/wear it, the sooner it will break down.
If you are really keen on wrapping now that you have tried it, I do encourage you to get a proper one... you will feel the difference immediately ;)

Hi LiXa,
Not sure if you have gotten your SSC by now but after seeing countless SSCs and trying them on... my general respond will be "Buy the same brand you've tried on and like so much!".
SSCs come in so many different builts.. some with taller body.. others wider. Some with longer straps... padding etc. etc... while it makes sense to buy a cheaper one 'that'd work anyway'... it does not work out that way. You may end up paying so much after as you keep trying out the cheaper ones and just can't find the feeling that you love.
Don't get me wrong, cheaper ones are not necessarily worse... what I am really trying to say hear is buy the one you've tried and fell in love with!

Forgot to add... 6 months is definitely not too late. You will soon find that some people even wear their 4-year olds!
